7 murder fugitives still loose

MURDER and rape cases are among 10,064 outstanding arrest warrants.
Seven were for murder, five for attempted murder and 40 for rape, according to Police Scotland statistics.
Some 605 warrants were for supply or use of drugs, 72 for domestic abuse and 1253 for assault.
It comes at a time when police numbers in Scotland are down from 17,400 full-time equivalent officers in 2020 to 16,427 this year.
