Monday ready to eclipse UK Black Friday record

BLACK Friday discounts saw the "busiest shopping day on record", with retailers set for a further £3.3billion boost on Cyber Monday.
Nine million in-store customers and six million online bargain-hunters will splash out tomorrow after window shopping to compare prices over the weekend, experts said.
The Monday after Black Friday used to be mainly a websites shopping rush pre-Covid, but the desire for discounts is set to trigger a high streets dash this year.
As shoppers commit to purchases after browsing, stores are set to ring up £1.8billion tomorrow and websites £1.55billion, said a GlobalData Retail study for VoucherCodes.co.uk.
