Fans take aim as 'Battle of Britain’ looms

IT HAS been billed as the Battle of Britain and when England meets Wales in the World Cup for the first time the stakes could hardly be higher.
Both nations go into Tuesday's match on the back of disappointing results: the Three Lions a goalless draw against the USA, the Red Dragons a shock 2-0 defeat by Iran.
And rival fans in Qatar yesterday had different ideas of how the confrontation might pan out.
The English think it's all over, with the Three Lions' wealth of Premier League talent bound to smash the demoralised Welsh.
But the Red Wall believes pride and passion could be crucial against the "Old Enemy" at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
Enjoying a few lunchtime beers at the Red Lion, an English pub in the capital Doha, both groups of supporters were in good spirits.
Wales fan Jac Horwood, from Aberystwyth, said: "If you've no faith, what is the point. It doesn't look great but there's just that little bit of Welsh inside of me that thinks 'we can, we can'.
