Black Cats suffer late Ogbeta blow

SUNDERLAND missed out on the chance to close to within a point of the automatic promotion places as Nathanael Ogbeta's 90th-minute strike gave Plymouth a draw.

The Black Cats looked set for another home win as second-half goals from Wilson Isidor and Trai Hume overturned a Plymouth lead that came through an own goal from goalkeeper Anthony Patterson.

However, Ogbeta struck in the final minute to secure Plymouth only a fourth away point of the season - allowing new coach Miron Muslic to see light at the end of the tunnel.

"That's a step forward," he said. "It is a long journey ahead for us but we are moving.

"No one would have put a penny on us getting anything but we believed and that is so important."
