Apprentice Tim: Education must be linked to business

THE APPRENTICE adviser Tim Campbell has called for Chancellor Rachel Reeves to connect business to education, to promote economic growth.

The former London Transport worker won the first series of the reality TV show, which returned to our screens last week, before joining Baroness Brady in assisting Lord Sugar in his search for his best new business partner.

Mr Campbell said: "We have a skills deficit which connects educationally into employment through tech-nical skills, which are some-times vilified as not as good as academic ones.

"And I know a lot of builders, plumbers, a lot of people living in lovely houses, who didn't go to univer-sity, who didn't study any academic qualifi-cation. So I think we have to have much more respect."
