GDC Bani organises series of awareness programmes on 'Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking'

On the eve of International Day on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, 2025, a lecture and a pledge conducted at GDC Bani by the Department of Physical Education and NSS unit of the college under the overall supervision of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Lal on Wednesday.

The event started with formal lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Dr Manohar Lal. He was accompanied by other faculty members of the college.
Dr Sunil Kumar HOD, Urdu, in his address, formally welcomed the Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Lal and other faculty members including the resource person Dr. Jogbinder Singh Soodan, Physical Director of the College.
The resource person, in his lecture, has advised the students to be aware of ill effects of drugs and their negative impact on the overall health and development of the growing youth.
He further addressed the growing instances of deaths due to over consumption of synthetic drugs by the youth. He has advised the students to become a volunteer against the drugs in the society.
