DLSA conducts inspection in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Jammu, under the guidance of Y.P. Bourney, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Jammu, Principal District and Sessions Judge (PDJ) Jammu, and under the supervision of Smriti Sharma, Sub Judge/Secretary DLSA Jammu, on Saturday conducted inspection in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.

The visit commenced with plantation drive aimed at promoting a greener, healthier environment within jail premises by the Pr. District and Sessions Judge Jammu along Smriti Sharma, Secretary DLSA Jammu, Veerinder Kumar Bhat, Superintendent of Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu and Anil Sharma, Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Jammu.
Entire team were personally visited and inspected Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu to review the living conditions, health facilities, legal aid availability, and overall welfare of inmates, in accordance with the directives of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and relevant provisions under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.
He held interaction with under trial prisoners, detenue & convict prisoners in the ground area of the jail and took first hand stock of facilities available there.
