Swans not agents so for Alli are

SWANSEA City boss Alan Sheehan has shot down suggestions the club are scouring the free agent market, and has ruled out a surprise move for out-of-contract forward Dele Alli.

Reports claimed City’s part-owner Luka Modric had been speaking to potential free agents out in Italy, a suggestion that has since been heavily played down by Swans insiders.

Alli’s name has specifically been mentioned as a possibility, with the 29-year-old a free agent after having his contract terminated at Italian side Como.

However, a move to SA1 has been ruled out by Sheehan, who added he doesn’t foresee any movement in the free agent market for now.

"I can rule that out," he said when quizzed on links with the former Tottenham star.

"I haven't heard that one at all right now.

"We've done our business and unless something dramatically changes.

"Obviously Dele Alli is a wonderful player, so I don’t want to comment anything on him or where he is, or how he’s playing etc.

"But look, for Swansea City, I would say no right now.”
