Store to close until summer for expansion

A TOWN'S supermarket is set to close until next summer while it undergoes redevelopment to make it twice its size.

Lidl, in Briton Ferry Road, Neath, will temporarily close from this Sunday, October 26, to allow the works to take place.

Lidl says that the closure and subsequent redevelopment will "significantly improve the customer experience".

The work at the supermarket, which has been in the town for almost three decades, will "almost double the sales area" to provide customers with a greater choice of products.

The store is currently expected to reopen in summer 2026.
