Rain sees roundabout shut again
South Wales Evening Post
|December 02, 2025
A MAJOR Swansea roundabout which previously flooded so badly that locals swam, fished and paddleboarded around was been closed again yesterday after a period of heavy rainfall.
Cwmbrla roundabout in Swansea flooded again yesterday.
(SWANSEA COUNCIL)
Cwmbwrla roundabout has been shut a number of times since September, when traffic had to be diverted for a number of days due to the flooding.
Yesterday morning, amid a rare amber weather warning for rain, Swansea Council confirmed that the roundabout was closed once again due to rising water levels.
The council said the decision had been made as a “precaution”
At the start of November, cars became stuck on the roundabout with officers from South Wales Police called to the scene.
On that occasion, the council said a blocked culvert near to the roundabout caused the flooding.
