Neighbours to share £1m prize

A GROUP of neighbours in a tiny Carmarthenshire village are “absolutely overwhelmed” after they opened their doors and found they'd won a combined £1m.

- ROB HARRIES Reporter

Nothing much normally happens in Cwrt Henri but that changed dramatically thanks to the Postcode Lottery's latest £1m Millionaire Street prize draw. Four neighbours shared the latest £1m prize, with each person claiming £250,000 each.

One of those is 38-year-old Isara Panicker. She's got big plans for her winnings - she's going to buy a bridge.

“We need to build a bridge at the farm", said mother-of-one Isara. “When the river rises, it's not easy to cross. I promised dad we'd get it done one day - and now we finally can. It’s definitely better to drive over a bridge than through a river.”

Isara says she was amazed when she was told of her postcode lottery win, and even started giggling when she found out how much money she'd actually won.
