A SERIAL offender from Swansea has been jailed after police seized his phone and discovered his involvement in drug dealing.
At the time of the revelation Brandon Silk was on licence from prison having been sentenced for breaching a suspended sentence.
A Cardiff Crown Court sentencing held remotely on Monday heard how police seized the 24-year-old’s phone for an unrelated matter on April 11 this year.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that Silk did not cooperate and refused to give officers his PIN details.
However, they went on to discover a Telegram account on the device, which Silk used to sell cannabis and cocaine.
Through the account Silk advertised that he accepted payment via card, crypto or cash and uses “smell proof bags”
He boasted about having designated drivers and riders to deliver the drugs, and that he had large quantities of cocaine and cannabis.
However, it is Silk’s case that he used an advertisement from a larger-scale supplier and portrayed himself as being a bigger player in the supply of class A drugs than he actually was.
