RALLYING - at whatever level - is a passion in Wales, and the recent Roger Albert Clark event that began from Carmarthen brought a string of good results for Welsh competitors including Osian Pryce and Dale Furniss the victors in their Mk.2 Escort.

Endaf a class act as he claims RAC success

Endaf Owens enjoyed a remarkable double on RAC Rally 2025.

(BLACK MOUNTAINS MEDIA)

Llanelli’s Endaf Owens was on his first gravel rally, first multi-day and pacenote event, and first on ice and at night, yet he was still a class winner with Phil Pugh co-driving their Escort Mk 1. And his team also built and rang a Mini for American Joe Whyte and Des Sherlock, who were also class winners.

Mark Higgins had Ammanford’s Carl Williamson co-driving the TR7 V8, surviving an off in Keilder to take a Category 2 win and a class first. Builth’s Jason Pritchard took his Escort Mk.2 to seventh despite going into a ditch in Hafren Forest.

Ammanford’s Huw and Averina Jeffreys had a big engine fire for their Escort in Crychan, with the car repaired overnight by West Wales Rally Spares and they were under way again on the Friday. But West Wales’ Tom Llewellin was not so lucky, rolling his RS1800 on stage 11.
