Sir Ed gets crafty during school visit

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey and Frome and East Somerset MP Anna Sabine visited Little Lost Robot at the Old Print Works in Radstock to make a Christmas wreath with pupils from Trinity Church School.

Sir Ed, who plans to send the wreath he made to Chancellor Rachel Reeves, demanded the Labour Government 'stop taking the region for granted' and criticised ministers for continuing to ignore the challenges faced by rural communities.

He urged the Government to use the new year as an opportunity for a reset and to take a serious look at the spiralling issues facing families across the South West

Mr Davey plans to send the wreath to the Chancellor to remind the Government that it cannot continue to "neglect" the South West in 2026. It comes as the region received "practically peanuts" in November's Budget, despite pleas from Liberal Democrat MPs across the South West.
