Top marks for primary school from inspector
Shields Gazette
|February 26, 2026
Pupils at a school in South Tyneside are celebrating after their "happy, confident and secure" school got top marks from education inspectors.
St Bede's Catholic Primary School in South Shields was recently inspected by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) and rated as 'outstanding' - with their report finding pupils not only feel happy and confident in school but also “value each other and feel cared for”.
The primary, which is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust, was also found to have a "lived sense of community” and strong culture of welcome to parents, the wider family network and parish.
