SOUTH-EAST OF ENGLAND ONE OF BEST REPRESENTED AREAS ON SHORTLIST
A NUMBER of Sevenoaks schools have been shortlisted for prestigious awards each for their own special reason.
The Tes Schools Awards are an annual celebration showcasing the amazing work of staff and schools across the country.
Just getting on to the shortlist is a huge achievement.
Since 2009, the awards have highlighted those going above and beyond for their pupils in the state and private sector.
The 22 award categories each spotlight a certain thing, from individual teachers to the entire school, covering all areas of education.
Dubbed the 'Oscars of education,' 33 schools or teachers were shortlisted from the south-east of England, making it one of the best represented regions in the country.
