KENT GOING FOR A HAT-TRICK OF COUNTY CROWNS AT TWICKENHAM

- By MICHAEL REEVES

KENT'S rugby team will have a chance to create history on Saturday as they look to make it three Bill Beaumont Senior Men's County Championships in a row.

Taff Gwilliam's men make the trip to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham to face off against Yorkshire in a repeat of last year's final.

And if Kent do manage to secure victory over the White Rose county, they will become only the second team to win a hat-trick of titles in succession since the competition made the permanent switch to HQ in 1984.

"It is a unique opportunity for Kent, we have never done it before and the lads have an opportunity to make a little bit of rugby history and we certainly won't lack from effort," Gwilliam said. "We started our preparations, the logistics and everything else, we had the first of our three training sessions on Thursday, it is going to be a tough day."
