Perfect place for a post-Christmas walk
Scunthorpe Telegraph
|January 01, 2026
A NEW boardwalk in beautiful wetlands is giving residents and visitors a better way to enjoy one of North Lincolnshire’s most popular natural spaces.
-
Just in time to walk off the excesses of Christmas, the boardwalk at Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre in Barton is now open to the public, a spokesperson for North Lincolnshire Council said.
Completed over the summer, the £77,000 investment has created an accessible, durable route through the nature reserve, improving links between the visitor centre, walking trails and key viewpoints across the wetlands.
