Jobcentre and IT firm join forces to empower our region's jobseekers

COLLABORATING TO PROVIDE VOLUNTARY WORK EXPERIENCE

THE Scunthorpe Jobcentre has been working in close partnership with local employer Finity IT to provide voluntary work experience opportunities that are transforming lives.

This initiative has helped many jobseekers gain valuable skills, confidence, and a pathway into employment.

Finity IT has been instrumental in supporting claimants through hands-on experience in a real working environment.

The company's commitment to nurturing talent has led to numerous success stories, including that of Jordon, who began as a participant in the scheme and is now the manager at Finity IT.

"Working with the Jobcentre has always been a positive experience," said Jordon.

"Because I have been through the Work Experience scheme myself, it changed my life, as it has done with everyone else at Finity IT.

"It is simple and hassle-free."

Other participants have echoed Jordon's enthusiasm. Chris who is a volunteer, shared his experience: "It is great and friendly at Finity.

"They are a great group of people, and I did not expect to learn as much as I did."
