AUTUMN might leave Scots feeling a little blue.
After all, the nights are getting longer and the temperatures lower.
But this might actually be the best time of year in Scotland.
The changing colours and light showcase the stunning scenery as those who dare to explore are rewarded with unforgettable experiences.
And there is still so much to enjoy over the coming three months.
All across the country a range of events and experiences are on offer for all the family.
So there is no excuse not to get out and enjoy Scotland during autumn. Here’s our guide to the best of what’s on...
THE ENCHANTED FOREST
Just outside the Highland Perthshire town of Pitlochry, Faskally Woods are transformed each October into a magical cacophony of light and sound. The immersive light show is hugely popular and this year has a theme of Lumineria - a world where nature and technology coexist to create perfect harmony. The Enchanted Forest is on between October 2 and November 2. Ticket prices vary depending on demand. See website enchantedforest. org.uk for details.
