Heartbreaking LA fire sale for legend Hopkins

LEGENDARY actor Sir Anthony Hopkins is putting what remains of his fire-ravaged Los Angeles estate on the market, as he prepares to make a multi-million loss.

The Hannibal Lecter star is asking for £5.1million after paying £10m for the two adjoining plots in Pacific Palisades in 2018 and 2019.

Sir Antony splashed out around £5.2m for the first parcel, which included a swimming pool, then bought the neighbouring plot for £4.8million.

Now, in what amounts to a bitter £4.9m loss, he is marketing them separately the pool lot is going for £2m, while the other, on which his mansion was built and which still has two scorched chimneys standing, is £3.1m.
