Trigger for Parkinson's discovered
Scottish Daily Express
|October 02, 2025
SCIENTISTS have developed a technique which allows them to see tiny clusters in the brain which are believed to trigger Parkinson's disease.
Researchers likened the breakthrough to “being able to see stars in broad daylight”.
It is hoped the discovery will allow experts to learn more about how Parkinson's develops and potentially pave the way for new treatments.
Controversial
A hallmark of Parkinson's is the presence of abnormal clumps of proteins called Lewy bodies in the brain.
