Torched van and missing neighbour twist to grim case of lochside remains

THE probe into the discovery of human remains at a lochside beauty spot appears to have taken yet another sinister twist.

While police are still treating the death of Graham Wright as "unexplained", it has now been revealed that a neighbour whom officers wanted to speak to in connection with their inquiries has vanished.

A van said to be being used by the neighbour was later found burnt out in Glasgow and the wreckage is now undergoing extensive forensic examination.

These new potential pieces of evidence emerged after people living in a Lanarkshire block of flats revealed they had been quizzed about the movements of both men despite neither having any known connection to the property.

Now, it has been disclosed that police went to the flats where Mr Wright lived to speak to another resident in his fifties.
