Title focus tops CL talk insists Rohl

DANNY ROHL has told Rangers to forget about their Champions League chances and focus instead on proving they're the best team in Scotland.

The Ibrox side face Ludogorets tonight in what is effectively a Europa League dead rubber.

But the Govan showdown could have major repercussions for next season's continental campaign - but only if Rangers can win the league.

Should this season's Champions League winner also qualify through their domestic league, it would leave a free slot that will go to the side with the highest UEFA club coefficient ranking who have not booked a league phase ticket.

As things stand, the Ibrox side sit top of that table but to make it stick, they will either need to take four points from their final two Europa League clashes against Ludogorets and Porto or hope nearest challengers Olympiacos lose to Ajax in their last Champions League game next week.

If that all seems a bit complicated, Rohl made it simple for his men by pointing out none of it will matter if they don't pip Hearts and Celtic to the Premiership finish line.

The German gaffer said: "It's important that we start to get more points on the table.
