Boss Rohl relishes hectic schedule as he bids to breathe new life into team

ONE thing we've learned already about Danny Rohl from his short spell as Rangers boss is he's big on the little personal touches.

For instance, ahead of every media conference, he'll make a point of shaking hands with each and every person in the press room.

Perhaps it’s simply a refreshing case of good manners.

Or more likely it’s an attempt to quickly put names to the faces Gers’ new German gaffer reckons hes going to be seeing a lot of over the next few months.

The 36-year-old is barely a week into his Ibrox assignment and so far there's hardly been a moment to draw breath.

Only unveiled eight days ago, within 24 hours he was up and away on the flight to Norway ahead of his first game in charge.

Thursday's Europa League beating in Bergen wasn't the start he was hoping for but the frustration of his dugout debut downer was swiftly replaced by a period of joy as he toasted Sunday's win over Kilmarnock.

That the warm fuzzy feeling lasted all of 60 minutes before he was forced to turn his attention to tonight's trip to Easter Road tells you a lot about the hectic nature of the schedule Rohl has stepped into.

From this Leith clash until the Hogmanay Bells, he'll have 14 games to prepare for inside a mere 62 days.

The workload won't let up once we turn the calendar over to 2026, with six games in the diary for January.

But being busy isn’t a problem for Rohl.

The former Sheffield Wednesday coach laughed and said: “Yeah, it’s good, I see you guys more than my wife, this is the first impression.
