CONQUER your fears, they say you must confront them. Go face-to-face with what frightens you and you'll free yourself of that paralysing terror. Which all sounds jolly plausible on paper, I grant you. I’m just not sure it works in real life. At least, not for everyone.

ON tonight’s episode of LOST INTHE DESERT WITH NICK KNOWLES (5, 9pm) - the final leg of this Mongolian adventure — Nick climbs to the top of a hill and meets a man with a paraglider.

Significantly, it’s a paraglider built for two. So no doubt you can guess what’s he’s agreed to do.

speak. And, OK, I do. But at the same time, I can’t ignore the fact that he’s done this before on other shows — faced his fear of heights head-on, I mean (which is why we do indeed already know about it) - and a fat lot of good it seems to have done him.
