Mercedes pledge to give rapid Russell a boost

SILVER ARROWS TEASE TRICKLE OF UPGRADES
MERCEDES have promised George Russell “more obvious” upgrades after the team’s best start to a season for four years.
McLaren have dominated the opening quarter of 2025 and are 105 points ahead of their nearest challengers in the constructors’ standings.
The Silver Arrows are the best of the rest, with Russell stepping up admirably to lead the team following Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari.
Russell’s third place in Miami last Sunday was the Brit’s fourth podium from the first six races of the season and teenage team-mate Kimi Antonelli has also made an impressive start, scoring points on all but one weekend.
Technical director James Allison revealed Mercedes plan to back their drivers with car improvements on the horizon.
