LOCH HORROR AS BOY, 8, ABUSED IN TENT NEXT TO PARENTS

POLICE have launched a manhunt after a boy of eight was sexually assaulted in a Highland campsite.

The victim was staying with his family at the Loch Ness Bay Campsite in Drumnadrochit.

A man approached the child, who was alone in his tent, between midnight and 1am yesterday and sexually assaulted the child before fleeing the scene.

The boy's family was in an adjecant tent at the time.

Police Scotland has launched a “significant investigation” and said there will be a “large police presence in the area”.

Anyone staying in Drumnadrochit has been urged to come forward as “any piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, could prove vital”.
