Claims that Miller saw a deadline-day move to Parkhead fall through were shut down

- BY ALISON McCONNELL

FALKIRK manager John McGlynn has rubbished suggestions that a deadline-day exit for Calvin Miller to Celtic was on the cards during the winter window.

Ex-Hoops star Charlie Mulgrew claimed Miller's agent had got a call to say a deal was ready to be done to take the winger back to the club where he started his career - only for it to fall through at the 11th hour.

However, McGlynn insisted there was never any contact from Celtic over the versatile 28-year-old winger.

"There is never an agent who has done a deal in my life," said the Bairns manager ahead of tomorrow's league visit of Dundee. "Never can an agent do a deal.

"There was no communication between Celtic and Falkirk Football Club. None whatsoever.

"It is a lot of nonsense. Celtic have never spoken to anyone at Falkirk.
