McGinn hopes that visitors will come unstuck on Sunday

- BY SCOTT BURNS

NIALL McGINN believes the power of Pittodrie can propel Aberdeen to end table-topping Hearts’ unbeaten Premiership run.

Derek McInnes’ Jambos are seven points clear at the top of the table, but they don't have a great record in the Granite City.

In comparison, the Dons have been slow starters, but McGinn believes a statement three points on Sunday is the sort of game that could turn their fortunes around.

The former Aberdeen and Celtic forward, inset, said: “We always did well at home against Hearts and Hibs and vice versa going down the road, it always felt difficult.

“It'll be a good atmosphere on Sunday - Derek coming back, Hearts are flying and any home game you are looking forward to.

“It is one that could turn the season and turn it with regards to your home form as well.

“Hearts are first, they are the team everyone is chasing down.
