RUSSIAN dictator Vladimir Putin has “declared war” on the UK, a former head of NATO has warned.

George Robertson, a former Defence Secretary who served as NATO Secretary General, said: “We are under-prepared, we're underinsured, we're under attack and we're not safe.”

He highlighted recent cyber attacks against the UK, and accused Russia of using organised criminal gangs to undermine the West.

CONFLICT

Lord Robertson said: “We are in the grey zone. Putin has declared war on us. We may not be at war with them, and we may have to make sure that were operating as if we were in that sort of conflict?
