Liam tells Well it’s high time they started holding on to winning leads

LIAM GORDON insists Motherwell have to be less quick on the draw and instead take careful aim at capitalising on winning positions.

The Steelmen became the first side this century to draw six straight Scottish Premiership games after their clash with Dundee at Dens ended 1-1.

Well dominated the first half but only had a solitary Tawanda Maswanhise goal to show for all their efforts.

The Dark Blues, who were roundly booed by their fans at halftime, finally clicked into gear after the break with Luke Graham netting the equaliser.

Both sides had further chances before Yan Dhanda was shown a straight red late on after a challenge on Lukas Fadinger.

Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou didn't hold back afterwards, saying: “It was maybe one of the best first halves weve played and then it was by far the worst half we've played in my time in the second half.”

Defender Gordon did not fully agree with his manager's assessment, insisting there were positives to take but the 29-year-old acknowledged the Steelmen simply have to start turning draws into wins.
