Cormack's warning in beach row

DAVE CORMACK has vowed to pull the plug on Aberdeen moving to a new beachfront stadium if no significant progress is made within two years.

The Dons chairman wants local government to back a proposed community ground at Aberdeen Beach.

And Cormack revealed at yesterday's AGM at Pittodrie that he and chief executive Alan Burrows will meet city officials on Friday to discuss the issue, which has been opposed by some councillors.

“There's no point in us pushing a heavy trolley up the hill for the next three or four years,” said Cormack (above).
