Cops probe man's death in village

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after the death of a man in a Scots village.

Police were called at about 4.45am yesterday to a report of two men found injured in the street in Kirkmuirhill, near Lanark.

Emergency services attended and a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man aged 35 was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment.

His condition is described as not life threatening.
