Clark finally erases hammering memory
Scottish Daily Express
|October 20, 2025
CLARK ROBERTSON had to wait nearly 15 year to get revenge on Celtic - and finally succeeded yesterday as Dundee defeated the champions 2-0 at Dens Park.
The centre-back was part of the Aberdeen team that suffered a 9-0 humiliation at Celtic Park back on November 6, 2010.
Now the Dee stopper can at last banish those memories that have haunted him throughout much of his career with his first career victory against Celtic.
Goal hero Robertson nodded the Dee in front to send Steven Pressley's men on their way to a famous win - Dundee's first at home to the Hoops since 1988.
And the 32-year-old - who had spells at - Blackpool, Rotherham, Portsmouth and Israeli top tier side FC Ashdod before arriving at the Dark Blues - was delighted.
He said: “Was that 15 years ago? It was still a painful one. I was probably 17 at the time and I always look back at that and, whenever I do step on a football pitch, I think nothing can be as bad as that, getting beaten 9-0.
“You've got to go into the pitch with no fear and I think most of the boys did that.
