Chris flown to hospital after crash in training

FOUR-TIME Tour de France champion Chris Froome underwent surgery yesterday after a serious training accident.
The 40-year-old suffered fractured back bones, a collapsed lung and five broken ribs in a crash on Wednesday.
He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Toulon, south of France, 100 miles from his home in Monaco.
