Cabin fever strikes inheriting couple

A SMALL inheritance became a big burden for a family when they found themselves on the sharp end of a debt collector's demand for an unpaid energy bill.

Brother and sister Andrew and Mary Nelson had never used the estimated £112 of electricity in question which was for a caravan they inherited from Lorna, a deceased relative.

But although the matter stretched way back into the past that didn't stop them feeling very worried about the warnings to stump up and in these days of increasing hardship being a beneficiary does not necessarily mean being better off as this case illustrates.
