Ashley's out to make world of a difference

ASHLEY MAYNARD-BREWER has put it all on the line for a big five months at Dundee United.

The keeper has left Charlton to sign a short-term deal at Tannadice until the summer, which gives United the option of an extension.

The Australian is also hoping for a good run of form in Scotland that catches the eye of national coach Tony Popovic, ahead the World Cup.

And Maynard-Brewer said: “I wanted to come somewhere and back myself to play.

Tcould have stayed and played out my contract.

“But I want to make the most out of my career and push myself, have these cool experiences and play challenging games.

“Yes, there's an option. I think it's the club’s option.

“I want to put in some good performances, be a part of a successful team here and hopefully commit to longer”

Maynard-Brewer, capped at Under-23 level, would love a full call-up for the Socceroos with the World Cup looming.
