Alfie crazy for street party with supporters

ALFIE DORRINGTON says seeing his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates celebrate Europa League glory last Wednesday spurred him on to help Aberdeen lift the Scottish Cup at Hampden on Saturday afternoon.

The on-loan centre-back saw his parent club, under ex-Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, beat Manchester United to secure the London club's first trophy in 17 years and then hit the streets for their parade.

But the 20-year-old wasn't about to be left out as the Reds had their own open-top journey yesterday after taking the cup to the Granite City for the first time in 35 years.

Dorrington savoured his first taste of glory, saying: "I watched the Tottenham one the other day.

"A few of my mates were there, they said it was crazy. It would have been nice to experience that.
