Turning down the noise: How to stay uplifted in a world full of bad news
Scoop USA Newspaper
|ScoopUSA Media, Volume 65 - Number 23
We live in a time when bad news travels fast — sometimes too fast. It’s everywhere.
From the moment we wake up and scroll through social media to the evening news before we go to bed, we’re bombarded with stories of tragedy, conflict, and uncertainty. Add to that the everyday challenges of life — personal setbacks, disappointments, and difficult people — and it’s no wonder many of us feel emotionally and mentally exhausted.
So the question is: How do we deal with bad news?
At some point in life, everyone faces moments of heartbreak, disappointment, or emotional heaviness. It may come from something we’ve seen on the news or something that hits closer to home — a lost job, a broken relationship, or a tragedy in the community. These moments challenge us. They stir up emotions that are often hard to understand, let alone control. But there is hope, and there are ways to navigate through the noise, stay grounded, and come out stronger.
