Sobukwe's grave vandalised amid town rename backlash

The gravesite of Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) founding president Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe has been vandalised, a move the party says is a deliberate attack on his legacy just days after Graaff-Reinet was renamed Robert Sobukwe Town.

"PAC condemns in the strongest possible terms the shameful and cowardly act of vandalism committed against the gravesite of the founding President of the PAC, Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe," the party said.
