Dithejane, Ndamane have become their own men

Saturday Star

INDEED, one man's trash can be another man's treasure!

When Phuso Dithejane and Khulumani Ndamane left Kaizer Chiefs' juniors and joined TS Galaxy, it may have seemed their career aspirations were dashed before they could even take off.

Dithejane left Chiefs after he refused to be a ball boy for a game involving the senior team, as the reserve side were also scheduled to play a match early the following afternoon.

And with many players having served as ball boys for their respective clubs - notably Siphesihle Ndlovu at his childhood club Maritzburg United (now Durban City) - it was probably misconstrued that Dithejane had let slip an opportunity to write a beautiful chapter at Chiefs.

But fast forward to today. The winger has shown that he didn't need to pick up balls behind his seniors to prove he could become a footballer. No! He's been a cornerstone for the Rockets this season.
