AVIJOZI fuses art with AI

THIS weekend, Johannesburg is set to come alive at Summer Place in Hyde Park with AVIJOZI, the city's vibrant festival dedicated to animation, VFX, gaming, and film production.

The public has been invited to explore the electric convergence of imagination and technology where creators can also connect with their audiences from today unil tomorrow at the Summer Place, Hyde Park, Johannesburg

At the heart of AVIJOZI, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) launches a groundbreaking France-South Africa exchange programme focusing on artificial intelligence in the realms of animation, VFX, digital arts, and gaming.

It is explained that the highlight of the initiative is the AI Masterclass: Demystifying AI for Animation & VFX. Here, practical application and theoretical discourse coexist, guiding participants to explore the potential of AI while addressing its ethical implications.

Leading the masterclass is Dr Sechaba Maape, a prominent figure in cultural consultancy and founder of Afreetekture.
