THE shortlist has been announced for Halton’s most established and prestigious business awards which returns for its 15th year on Friday, June 13.

With 56 companies shortlisted in 18 categories, this year has seen an all-time high in the number of entries and the widest representation of Widnes and Runcorn based businesses.
Direct Security Solutions Ltd are the main sponsors of this year’s Halton Business Awards, a trusted leader in innovative security systems and tailored protection services.
Their support reflects a strong commitment to celebrating the achievements of local businesses and investing in the future of Halton’s vibrant economy.
2025 has seen the return of the Innovative Business of the Year, with Sci-Tech Daresbury and Science and Technology Facilities Council joining together to sponsor this award which recognise Halton’s innovative approach to business.
They are joined by an impressive line-up of sponsors including Redrow, one of the UK's leading private home builders sponsoring the Commitment to the Community category, INEOS Inovyn, a premier chemical company sponsoring Clean, Green Business of the Year and Halton and St Helens VCA, a registered charity sponsoring the award for Social Enterprise of the Year.
