Cup final hero to stay with Linnets

THE hat-trick star of Runcorn Linnets’ Cheshire Senior Cup final success is their first player to commit for the 2025-26 season.
Fresh from his match-winning performance in the 3-0 victory over Stalybridge Celtic, Adam Moseley has confirmed he is staying at the APEC.
Moseley’s Deva Stadium treble cemented his position as runner-up in the club's first-team scoring charts. It left him on 13 goals, one shy of Ryan Brooke.
Manager Brad Cooke made it clear both during and after the season how highly he rates home-towner Adam and he is thrilled to have secured the player's services.
Cooke said: “I'm delighted that Mose is staying.
“He's a great kid with loads of ability, he will continue to learn and improve.
“The fans love him, the lads love him and he epitomises everything we are trying to achieve at the football club.
“Me and Sadz (assistant boss Rob Sadler) look forward to helping him in his development”
“A product of Linnets’ junior and youth system, Moseley also played his part in our Under 21s side's double-winning campaign last season.
A club spokesman said: “He's a great ambassador for Linnets and a trailblazer on the pathway of progression within the club.”
In September 2023, aged 18, Moseley became the first off Linnets’ production line to sign a first-team contract. He has scored 19 goals in 92 senior career appearances.
Meanwhile, the club has bid farewell to goalkeeper coach Dave Piercy, who is relocating to Japan.
Piercy joined the club last summer and, on Cooke's arrival in Febru-ary, continued to be a big influence around the club, particularly on the form of Bayleigh Passant and the development of Under21s ‘keeper Alex Ellams.
