No ID for young man found dead in canal

A YOUNG man found dead in the Rochdale Canal on Sunday (May 4) has still not been identified, police have confirmed in a tragic update.
Water rescue units along with police, fire crews and paramedics were called to reports of a body in the water near to Oldham Road in Rochdale at around 4pm.
Emergency vehicles lined Oldham Road, with the road taped off in both directions. The body of a man was later recovered from the water. His death is not being treated as suspicious, GMP confirmed.
