Musicians hit high notes with contest success

A BAND is going from strength to strength, securing first places in contests and being promoted championships.
-
Whitworth Vale and Healey Band has had a busy year and has been claiming many victories along the way.
The band competed in the North West Area contest in February, placing fourth and although this didn’t enable them to qualify for the National finals, previous years results meant they would be promoted to the Championship section in January 2026.
This was another first in the band’s history following their National championship 2nd section title in 2023.
