MIDDLETON'S annual May Day celebrations get into full swing this bank holiday Monday with a packed programme of free entertainment for all the family.

The popular Middleton MayFest event will be at St Leonard’s Square and in Jubilee Park on Monday May 5 from noon to 5pm.
Organisers are promising traditional family fun with live performances, music, maypole dancing, circus, mini-sports, fairground rides, games, crafts, food and drink, face painting and lots more.
In Jubilee Park, the local St Michael's Brass Band will be in concert, and there will be Uncle Chris's Punch and Judy Show.
