Karamjit Singh Rintu, Chairman of the Improvement Trust Amritsar and in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) North Assembly Constituency, today inaugurated the construction, expansion, and modernization of power infrastructure at the 132 kV Power Colony, Majitha Road.
Karamjit Singh Rintu said that with the visionary leadership of AAP Convener Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Mann, and the active support of Honorable Energy Minister Mr. Sanjeev Arora, the campaign for the "Roshan Punjab" state-level project worth Rs. 5,000 crore was launched in Punjab today, October 8, 2025.
Under this scheme, the construction, expansion, and renovation of power infrastructure in Amritsar district is being inaugurated at a cost of Rs 307 crore.
