South Africa’s G20 triumph meets US snub

WELL the curtain of accolades came down on a successful G20 Summit and South Africa managed to hide its “stink” as the Madlanga Commission and Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee adjourned for a few days.

But the historic event, a first for the African continent, was marred by the US boycotting the meeting on allegations of white genocide.

But South Africa proved par for the course and the international leaders were impressed.

Now in a further escalation of “pad blood”, the US has told the world that South Africa would not be invited to Miami for the 2026 G20 Summit which they will host.

Capricious US President Donald Trump for far too long has been given the reign to threaten and bully other nations of the world.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is the opposite, but behind the facade of passive char, he is also guilty of nobbling and manipulative subterfuge.
